1. In your opinion, which depiction of Christ would have been the most powerful during the late antiquity: shepherd, teacher or miracle worker? Explain your answer using what you’ve learned in your book and video lectures.

my classmate’s response:

Many early followers of Christianity were direct converters from Paganism who often found that a more tangible representation of religion was easier to stomach than a more faith based religion like Christianity. As such, I think the depiction of Christ the Shepherd or Christ the Teacher would be much easier to swallow than Christ the miracle worker.
