Paper Assignment:
Conduct an extensive literature review (between 2010-present) to identify and compare an optimal healthcare system from another OECD country with the US. Compare and contrast the theories and concepts relating to social welfare and reallocation of services.
Topic: Current literature review (2010 to present) and explanation of findings on optimal healthcare models in the world. You may compare or select one to review and compare to the US System.
Process: Students will identify and critically evaluate economic literature related to healthcare and healthcare economics to provide thoughtfully written individual investigations.
Outcome: A research paper (4 5 pages) identifying and explaining an optimal.
Evaluation: Students will be evaluated based on the analysis and synthesis of the research for the assignments.

Compare your selection to the US system on economic terms
Explain the differences that you identified, draw from your resources
Compare and contrast the economic theories that support the optimal system you selected, and compare those with the US system (hint: focus on social welfare and allocation of resources).
