3. The fracturing of the Catholic Church in the early part of the 16th centuryknown as theReformationis generally associated with the efforts of Martin Luther. Yet years beforeLuther began his attacks on the church, many Catholics were greatly discontented with theChurch. In a well-executed response, explain the ways in which the discontent began, how itevolved, and, finally, the role Martin Luther played in helping sever ties with the church andultimately creating a new faith.
