How well youorganize your response—think 5-paragraph essay format, with an introduction, body of evidence,and conclusion—and argue your point(s) are two important criteria I’ll follow when determiningthe grade of the essays. (The 5-paragraph essay format doesn’t mean you must limit yourself to fiveparagraphs. You are free to use as many paragraphs as you feel appropriate.) Thelength of each essay should be roughly two and a half pages (about 650 words). it is due Monday at 9pm

1. Ancient Greece underwent tremendous change. In a well-organized essay, discuss the waysin which ancient Greece was transformed politically, socially, and culturally between the 5thcentury BCE and the death of Alexander the Great.

2. The One Hundred Years’ War shaped and reflected European history more than any otherevent between 1066 and the reign of Henry VIII. Would you agree or disagree with thestatement? Why? Be sure you use examples and evidence to support your argument.

3. The fracturing of the Catholic Church in the early part of the 16th century—known as theReformation—is generally associated with the efforts of Martin Luther. Yet years beforeLuther began his attacks on the church, many Catholics were greatly discontented with theChurch. In a well-executed response, explain the ways in which the discontent began, how itevolved, and, finally, the role Martin Luther played in helping sever ties with the church andultimately creating a new faith. Be sure you discuss the role of matters besides religion in theReformation—politics, war, government, and economic power, for instance.
