Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, you can choose any location of interest to your group, even just using the internet.
Project could evaluate the hydrolic design of the bridge (design peak discharge)and analyze whether the height of the bridge is enough for the current amount of runoff in the stream for a given return period.
You need to submit the project updates in four parts on Blackboard.
Part 1. Project topic selection Identify your project location / feature/ structure and topic Determine your project goal Map your project area using use any software/tool such as google map, google earth, ArcGIS etc. to show your project area.
Part 2:Planning & Contract Determine your project tasks and timeline. Document the structure or feature you are working with this includes location, measurements and dimensions of the structure and other related features.
Part 3. Execution & Updates Provide relevant background of your project, similar work or alternate design that were done on similar projects in past. Prepare your engineering considerations Perform your project tasks. Prepare and submit a draft
Project Report Part 4: Presentation and Report (Week #13) Prepare a final report Final presentation to your peers *Project Report: The report should contain background of the project, goals/objectives, examples of similar work, methods applied, results and conclusion. So you can use the all project parts to prepare your final report.
